Can this be used for step railings and for putting posts for a fence gate?


Hey Enrico, This is Ricardo with Simpson Strong-Tie. Our ABA66Z post bases are designed for providing resistance to downward forces and uplift (pullout) forces. They are not designed to prevent wood members from rotating at the base, especially in non-top-supported applications where bracing at the top is not present.
