If placing on a lamp post, what placement is recommended? Should it be near the ground to prevent interference from the post light?


This photocell (Item #50886 Model #14008) should be installed oriented away from artificial light sources which can cause the power to turn off at night. It is recommended to install the photocell under the light pointing away from the light source, but it is not recommended to install it on the ground. You can test the photocell by covering the lens and the photocell should react to the change in less than a minute.
