do you have to crimp this plug or just drive it in end of pipe, if crimp what type of tool,,,

Hi Andy – this PEX plug cap is meant to be crimped or clamped to secure it to the pipe. You could use one of our SharkBite crimp tools, SharkBite 1/2-in and 3/4-in PEX Crimp Tool – Lowe’s Item # 818235 or SharkBite 3/8-in to 1-in PEX Crimp Tool – Lowe’s Item #818236. You can also use one of our SharkBite clamp tools, SharkBite 3/8-in to 1-in PEX Tool – Lowe’s Item #818232 or SharkBite 3/8-in to 1-in PEX Tool – Lowe’s Item #821538. If you would prefer an alternative product that requires no solder, glue, unions or tools we offer our SharkBite 1/2-in dia Cap Push Fitting - Lowe’s Item #818058.
