Is internet required to use this

Hi Barbara. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung Jet Bot Auto Charging Robotic Vacuum with Automatic Dirt Disposal if the internet is required to use this. Regarding your concern, the Jet Bot has a power switch that you can switch on and off before starting cleaning. The purpose of the internet is if you wish to do like checking the cleaning report, stopping the jet bot, choosing the cleaning mode, etc. You can do this via downloading the Smarting App which works via the internet. I suggest you check this link to your user manual for assistance.
