What exactly does stackable mean?


First, the washers are designed to always be the base unit, built that way for fastener hardware, and secondly the dryer is much lighter to lift up.

No, the dryer can stack on top of the washer but the washer is too heavy and is not designed to be stacked on top of the dryer.

When you get your washer and dryer set it explains in the manual that you can stack them but you will need a stacking kit to secure them.
