which brand washer uses the minimum amounts of water per load and how much water do they use does the steam washers use less water

My water bill went down 70% after I got this washer I kid you not. It uses little soap or water. I wouldn't have believed it unless I'd seen it myself - and I don't work for Lowes so don't worry. I'm just so thrilled with this machine. I will also tell you though that my husband is the worst about doing scrawny little loads and being wasteful so depending on what your typical water usage is, you might not get the same results. I used to over soap trying to get clothes clean but this machine has a strict limit. I use 3/4 less soap than I used to. And it's just so darn enthusiastic. It makes all these pleasant little noises and it's very communicative and there are oodles of functions so you can customize the cycle. I highly, highly recommend this machine. I'm thrilled with it. Of course, I've never had a washer this nice either. My last one was a 15 year old top loading Kenmore that finally kicked.

Thank you for the question. I can only speak on the subject of Samsung washers, which use approximately 13 to 15 gallons of water per cycle for the front load models, and are among the most efficient based on the CEE Tier 3 rating. The Steam feature uses very little water, but since it does not replace the wash portion of the cycle it does not have a significant effect on the amount of water used. For further information, I would suggest contacting your local Lowes Appliance Associates. - Ms. Samsung
