Hi Natasha! Great questions! As a patterned loop can just under 1/2" pile height, it's not likely to show significant footprints & vacuum marks. The best way to determine if marks will be visible is to press your hand into the pile of the sample. That will demonstrate if footprints will be noticeable. As for matching seams, seasoned professional installers should be able to manage this pattern match and mark a good looking seams. However, seams may not be completely invisible.
