The "Pound Rating" on Carpet pad is derived by weighing 1 CUBIC Foot (12' x 12" x 12") of the pad. Therefore, ant given piece of 8# pad contains 30% more product by volume, versus a 6# pad. The end result: an 8# pad will feel moe PLUSH under foot.
