whats the difference between worm drive and side winder


The item number and model number are the same for both. The pictures are the same. Both show left blade saws. How did you determine that they were different?

On a worm drive saw the motor is behind the blade on a direct drive (sidewinder) saw the motor is next to the blade. Also worm drive saws weigh more.

The Sidewinder version of the SkatePlate is for right-bladed saws and the Worm Drive version is for left-bladed saws
