Can this product be used on raw brass items?


Good question! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Satin Clear Enamel is an excellent protective clear coating that resists corrosion, tarnishing and chipping. Brass tends to be a very smooth glossy surface, when painting smooth surfaces scuff sanding is recommended for proper adherence. Since this is a clear coating, any scuff sanding scratches will be visible through the coating which would make it undesirable. For application on non scuffed sanded brass we would recommend testing in an inconspicuous area to ensure proper adherence and favorable results. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6
