Is this safe for the birds, if I use it on a metal birdbath? Is there a safer, more waterproof Rust-Oleum product for this purpose?

While Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Clear Enamel Spray can be used on exterior surfaces, it is not recommended for use on surfaces that will be immersed in water, such as the inside of a birdbath. The exposure to water typically found for this type of use would cause the paint to blister and peel.
