I'm using this on a metal basket drawer for clothes. Does it need at clear top coat? Will it chip or wear off with clear sealant?


Thanks for reaching out Tania. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Bright Coat Metallic Spray Paint contains a leafing pigment, we do not recommend this paint be clear coated as it will dull the metallic finish. For surfaces that will be handled frequently, like a metal basket drawer, we do not recommend Bright Coat be applied. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6
