What should I use to spray paint my fabric patio umbrella? How many cans would it take to spray a 9 foot market umbrella, same color, on one side?


Great questions, Carol! Since Rust-Oleum American Accents 2X Ultra Cover Srpay cures to a hard finish, we do not recommend it for use on fabric surfaces. The paint will start to crack and peel as the surface bends and moves. When painting any outdoor fabrics, we recommend Rust-Oleum Specialty Outdoor Fabric Paint. When applying this product, hold the can upright 6-8” from the surface and spray in a steady back-and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
