How do you read the date code on the cans?


Happy to help, Nick. Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer Spray has a lot code on the bottom of the can, which will designates the date of manufacture of the product. This will consist of a six digit number beginning with a letter.  (Ex. P24121)  The first number after the letter will correspond to the last digit of the year of manufacture (1=2021 2=2022, etc.). The second number is the month (1=Jan, 2=Feb......0=Oct, N=Nov, D=Dec). The third and fourth numbers are the day of that month. For this example, a lot code of P24121 would be a product made on the 12th of April in 2022.  - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6
