Does this primer adhere to galvalume - 55% Aluminum-Zinc alloy coated sheet steel?


I don't think this primer necessary when using a high quality paint with the galvalume heat shield application. Not enough comment chars to explain.

I want to use this product for the same application. However, it does state on the can "do not apply to galvanized metal"; so can or can't? Grgrs

My application is a heat shield for a wood stove flue. I want to use this primer to help a high temp flat black paint adhere to galvalume.

Let's talk further about your application and the Rust-Oleum Automotive High Heat Primer. This should be applied over surfaces that will get hot. The product has to be baked on to work properly, which means that you'll need to bake at different temperature ranges as indicative of the label.
