Linen white. Is the bond coat a primer and is it also the paint/color? Would it be better to also lightly sand for better adhesion/durability? Thank you.

The step 1 base coat of Rust-Oleum Transformations Cabinet Coating Kit acts as both the primer and base coat as this can be applied directly to your cabinets and is also where the color comes from. To ensure the strongest adhesion we recommend lightly scuff sanding any hard glossy surfaces to build a surface profile for the coating to cling to. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14
