I haven't had to clean it yet, but I have used about five different colors with it totaling about a dozen cans and I have not had any issues with colors blending or mixing.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes once the paint dries you can peel it off the trigger attachment if you want to. The attachment only holds down the spray button on the can and in no way blends or touches paint previously used.

Was this Answer Helpful ?YES, YES This is one of the most useful purchases that I have made! It acts as a strong finger that hold down the button on top of the can. It never gets in front of the nozzle, and therefore never gets paint on itself. After about 30 cans of black foing all the patio furniture, it id still clean.
