I will painting some small chromed steel parts. Do I need to do any special preping before spraying the chrome plated steel parts?

Before applying any paint, make sure to clean the surface first with a commercial detergent or another suitable cleaning method, rinse the surface and let dry, and then sand to create a surface profile for the paint to adhere to.
