Can this spray be used to waterproof terracotta pots and does it last


Glad to clarify on this! Rust-Oleum American Accents 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paint can be applied to the exterior of the terra cotta pot to add a clear, protective finish to the surface, however it is not a waterproofing paint. For the best protection, spray 2-3 light coats of the clear spray a few minutes apart. How long it lasts varies, depending on the exposure to the elements that it gets. It may need repeat applications every season or two. If that is the case, lightly sand the surface and make sure it's completely clean before recoating. This paint should not be applied to the interior of the pot. Currently, we do not have any product for that application. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 15
