Is access to outside of back needed for installation

Yes, you will need access to screw the roof onto the rear wall, but then you could slide the shed up against you house and secure it to your pad / base.

Yes, access to the back from outside the shed is necessary (necessary to drive screws to attach the roof). I have a side against the house and that was not a problem -- all side attachments can be accomplished from inside.

You will need access to the back of the shed to screw down the roof. I just pulled mine about a foot and a half from the rear wall - then moved it back when the roof was screwed down. It weighs less than 200 pounds, so it can be easily moved. A good level base helps.

There is 4 or 5 screws that need to be put in to secure roof to back wall. Shed can be pulled forward then moved back after screws are installed.

You will have to place screws to the back of the roof so do this before you set the shed permanently. Don't place it too close to the siding though or you may have water damage. I got this one b/c my old wood shed was too close to the house and caused water damage to my siding so I had to have it repaired and tore the old one down. This one is 1 foot from the siding.

no, everything can be done from the front

Yes. What I did was to assemble the roof at the back end following the instructions prior to securing the floor to the wooden base I put it on after putting it all together. That way, you can move the shed around to complete all the outside installations.
