Ground preparation

only requirement is the ground must be level

Thank you for inquiring about Rubbermaid sheds. On the assembly instructions it states, the "shed must be built on a solid level surface. A concrete or patio surface or treated-wood platform is recommended."

We dug out the dirt in the area and put down paver sand. Laid pavers over the sand and made sure they were level. Since we were putting the shed in a small area by our patio and wanted to be sure water drained when it rained, we did put gravel around the outer edges, but that just applied to our situation.
