will this work on a oil / boiler furnace 15 amp


This is a dumb switch, it doesn't know or care what you wire to this switch as long as the appliance is rated for 15 amp 120v power. As long as your boiler runs safely on a 15amp 120 volt circuit (and local code allows) it should work to power your furnace with a generator hook up.
