Can I cut 2inchs off of the bottom of this door


Yes it can be cut. I cut 3" off mine no trouble at all.

You may split the fiber glass, I would not cut this.

Benchmark by Therma-Tru item 228471 is a pre-hung door unit that is assembled in a 4-9/16" primed door frame. You would not be able to cut this unit in height by 2". You may however special order a 6-panel Benchmark by Therma-Tru door unit that is reduced in height by 2". Please visit the millwork desk at your nearest Lowe's store for pricing and availability.
