How do you properly measure a door when you need to replace it - do you include the frame with the measurements or not ?


Nope, just measure the door "slab" itself, common sizes are 32, 34, and 36 inch.

The best measurement is your rough opening which is the width and height of the hole in your wall. The frame measurement is the tip-to-tip width and height of the complete unit which includes the door frame and sill. If you need assistance in fitting your opening, please contact the Millwork Department at your local Lowes store, we will be happy to assist you.
