can a space for a mail slot be drilled into the bottom of this door? I don't want it near the door handle. I also need to add a peep hole and knocker


Therma-Tru Benchmark doors are filled with polyurethane foam which provides its excellent energy efficiency. We recommend that you purchase a door knocker that bolts completely through the door to the interior side and not one that attaches to the face of the door. The mail slot and peep sight must have inner sleeves that protect the core of the door. After installed clear caulk needs to be applied around the rim of each where they touch the door on both sides of the door to prevent moisture from wicking behind.
