Could I use a pair of these with 2X8s or 2X10s to load a lawn tractor into the back of a pickup truck?

Capacity with the 2x lumber and ramps is 700 lbs. Oak would be stronger and cost more than treated pine.

Yes, but as I stated in my review, this kit is only for the ends of the boards that contact the tailgate. You may need a bottom kit too. Since I'm only loading mower and don't do it often, I don't r5eally need them. My mower and I weigh about 800lbs and a pair of 2x10 are as solid as a rock.

I have used these on 2x10s for my lawn tractor. Works great!

Bill, I tried but I had to take it back to the store. I used 2x8s as suggested and the 2x8 bend and it was kind of scary.

2x10s would be stronger and last longer they hold up to my quad pretty good

I think they would be okay for a smaller lawn tractor. These ramp tops are made for 2x8s. There are others available elsewhere that can use either board. More money, of course.
