How difficult will it be to replace a 10 year Rain Bird timer with the 6 zone Rain Bird Timer?

Very easy, I replaced an 8 year old, outdoor Rainbird model with this model, the holes to bolt it to the wall even matched up, much easier than I thought. Glad I didn't pay a contractor

Was this Answer Helpful ?Will require drilling new holes to mount on the wall but that is easy enough. It is bigger and easier to set than the prior 6 zone model. We just replaced our 9 y.o. 6 zone Rainbird with this one. Pretty much a snap.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Pretty easy, if u can use a screwdriver and wire cutter/strippers. Remove old unit, marking wires with tape, install new timer placing wires on proper timers, plug in, follow instructions on scheduling watering times, you got it.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Transfer the wires (z1 - z1 etc), plug it in and rotate the selector switch to program the days & times.
