How do you clean or change without getting stung?

We suggest waiting until nighttime or the very early morning, when yellowjackets are less active, to handl the trap. If yellowjackets are still alive inside the trap when it is time to rebait it, we suggest that you tape off the entrance holes and either wait for the yellowjackets inside to expire, or place the entire trap in the freezer overnight. Then empty and rebait as usual. Those allergic to yellowjacket stings should allow others to place and maintain traps for them.
