Can this be used on a gravity drain off of an evaporator coil?


This can be used on the drain line as long as the pressure from the supply side is at least 2 PSI in order to open the spring.  As long as the pressure from the supply side is greater than that of the downstream side, the spring will stay open.  If the pressure from the downstream side is greater than that of the supply side, the spring will close, preventing back flow.
