What type of rubber is the gasket made of? Whats the real life expectancy of the gasket? 5 yrs, 10 yrs, 25 yrs..? Cold water ,under ground install.


I installed this under 3' of clayish desert soil on a slope sixteen years ago. It is still going strong

Hello, The o-ring is made of rubber. Standard PVC is designed for use with cold water applications only. This can be used underground in some situations. If used under a thin layer of soil it is ok. However if it is going underground under something heavy with high traffic we would not recommend. If you are in need of warranty assistance please call customer service we are happy to help.
