Can this valve be used on the discharge line of a washing machine?


This can be used on discharge line for a washing maching as long as the pressure from the supply side is at least 2 PSI in order to open the spring. As long as the pressure from the supply side is greater than that of the downstream side, the spring will stay open.  If the pressure from the downstream side is greater than that of the supply side, the spring will close, preventing backflow.
