What is the channel pick up range ?


I am using a preamplified antenna at a height of 30 feet above ground. It picks up channels as far as 100 miles away. I get all channels from Cleveland and Toledo, and a couple from Detroit. Also some smaller local stations. The rotater is great for fine tuning the reception. The average distance of reception is about 70 miles.

The RCA VH126N is not a antenna. The installation owner/instruction manual does not state range of each channel. The outdoor drive unit (antenna mounts to) and the indoor control unit are hard wired. So, in order to program a channel to a particular station several factors need to be considered. They are: placement of antenna, distance from TV transmitter and type of antenna mounted to the drive unit. Most antenna manufacturers will list somewhere on box approximate pickup range.
