my compressor is to be delivered on the 10th of april, what oil is recommened for the future.Ive heard very good things of royal purple synthetic 5w30


Once broken-in I would use synthetic compressor oil but really depends on how hard you use it. What I use was a 100% synthetic compressor oil manufactured by DuBois Chemicals. But this was an Industrial setting and our compressors ran almost all the time until break times ro end of the shift. This was a 390 compressor 20hp.

Have read that detergents in motor oil foam in air compressors, so should use oil and oil weight specified for this compressor.
