I would say yes, as far as rose bushes and blackberry bushes go. Any larger thorns, probably not. The fabric seems tough, but not especially thick.

I trimmed a couple of rose bushes and thorns on the rose bushes did not penetrate the material covering from the hand to the elbow! You will love these gloves!!
