will someone come out and measure my floors for laminates for free?

Not unless you are going to have them install the floor also. But you can do it with a 25' tape measure. Measure one side of the room. Then measure an adjacent wall. (This is assuming the room has 4 walls and is rectangle shape.). Multiply the two numbers together and that gives you the square footage for that room. Do the next room the same way. When all the rooms are completed, add the sq ft number from each room for the total sq footage. The boxes at the store will have the sq ft they will cover printed on the side.
