I want to store grain. Is this watertight if kept outside in the elements, and will it keep rodents out?


Only galvanized trash cans with tight fitting lids will keep out rodents...they don't rust and each can can easily hold 2-50# bags of feed - 100# each. I store my broiler feed in these outdoors and have no moisture/rodent problems.

Have you looked at any plastic GARBAGE containers lately? Rodents can chew thru them. If your worried about rodents, I use the galvanized metal garbage cans. Raisin’ 2 steers now. Haven’t had a lick of a problem!

The 64 gallon Black tote is not watertight.
