If this is 660-watt, why is only a max 75w bulb recommended? If I put a Y-splitter (Lowes Item 49202--also 660w) in there, can I run two 100w bulbs?


No. The 660 watt is to account for the plug as well. The socket is 75W which is plenty for any LED bulb
