Yes, the plug is rated for 18/2 cord.

Was this Answer Helpful ?This is a large plug. Example: Used for feed cable from a large portable generator. Rated at 60 amps. It would work but you need a plug more in the 15 amp range. Check the amperage on the equipment you are using this on and buy a plug in that amperage range. It will be much smaller and less expensive.
