how do I load the gun?

Pull back the hook to the end and slide the cartridefe in.

You Press down on the flat piece of metal that rests on top of a spring and at the same time pull back on the rod while still holding the spring mechanism down. The rod will have a flat/ circular disc on one end and the other end protrudes out the back of the gun. pull back on the rod until the flat metal disc is as far as it will go. Release the pressure you applied to the spring. Place the Caulk Cartridge into the caulk gun barrel. It should lay right in there. Then press the spring mechanism down again and push the rod/disc into the caulk cartridge. if it does not want to push in, then the disc may be caught on the caulk cartridge. Wiggle the cartridge, not the rod, try again. Push the rod in until it hits the inside bottom of caulk cartridge. Should be about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Then cut the tip off the cartridge if you have not already done so. Then use something to break the protective membrane located at the inside base of the nozzle.. Now squeeze the gun trigger gently yet firmly until you see the caulk coming out. Now your on your own. Hopefully I explained things well enough. Good luck with your project.

Before you load the gun, you have to take the cap off the tube of caulk, cut the tip off (the gun has a blade on the handle that will cut the tip when you squeeze the handle), then poke a hole in the seal of the tube of caulk (the gun has a spike on the side that you put into the hole in the tip ... you will feel it when it breaks the seal). Next, make sure the rod is all the way back (pressing the metal tab at the top of the handle will allow you to pull the rod all the way back). Insert the tube into the caulk gun. Squeeze the handle until you see the caulk at the tip of the tube. You should be ready to go. I would also recommend a caulk tool that have a rubber triangle on it. Once you've applied the caulk, the caulk tool can be used to get a smooth, not so messy bead of caulk on the corner. Enjoy!

Puncture the caulk tube; Pull the silver loading rod all the way back making sure the rod handle is in the downward position; Place the caulk tube in the tray; and, start squeezing the handle until the plunger engages the tube and caulk is at the tip of the caulk gun. Your ready to apply. Be sure to wet your finger to help spread it better and use a sponge for a final wipe down.

Dude its as easy as loading a bowl! Slide the cartridge in and pump the handle.

Pull the metal handle all the way back and insert the product you bought. Then start pulling the trigger amd ready.
