Would this valve work on a washer discharge hose that goes up the about the ceiling to let the water go up to the drain but not back down

Thank you for reaching out to us, you may have a difficult time using this check valve in that application. If you are using a flexible hose on the discharge, you will want to use a check valve that has a barbed connection on both ends. The reason for this is so you can cut the discharge hose and clamp the hose to the check valve. Please make sure you use a swing style check valve as well, spring loaded check valves will require more pressure to open and may not allow water to flow in this application.
