Will a silicone-backed rug ruin the floor?

Hello Mattk and thanks for your inquiry. We do NOT recommend installing any type of rubber backed rugs over your Style Selections Luxury Vinyl Plank. The rubber will cause a chemical reaction to happen with the vinyl which will damage your flooring over time. We would definitely suggest using a felt backing on your rugs, or rug pad that is compatible with vinyl. For product recommendations, we suggest speaking with a Flooring Specialist at your local Lowe's store as they can better help you find the product needed.
