is this screen repair patch heat resistant

Prime-Line has an aluminum version of this patch which can be special ordered from your local Lowes Home Improvement Center; it is model number P-7548. This item may be safer to use for that purpose, however it was not designed nor intended to be used in the lint traps of dryers which will expose the patch to heat, and its warranty will be void if the patch is used in a manner other than what it was designed for. For best results, check with an employee in the appliance department of your local Lowes to find out if they can special order a replacement lint trap for you, and if not, you may wish to contact the manufacturer of the dryer to order exactly what you need.
