Cant the spray system be used with acrylic paint?

You can use any paint that can be diluted enough to spray.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes! You can use the Preval Sprayer for acrylics. Here are some instructions: 1. Strain paint using a fine paint strainer or a nylon stocking. (if you don't strain the paint the diptube will clog.) 2. Thin paint accordingly. 3. Remove the plug from the bottom of the dip tube. 4. Test spray.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Absolutely. I used oil based primer with mineral spirits to thin and latex paint with water to thin very successfully with the Preval sprayers. Caution: If using Valspar Paint+Primer all in one, do not try to thin with latex thinner, it separates and becomes unusable. Just a bit of water to thin this brand.
