bought twice as much as needed. Will it keep for a year and then use?

I too over bought last year and stacked it on a fiberglass pallet and covered it with a tarp. Still got wet, a little white mold and a few bugs. Laid them in the sun for a few days, no more mold. Color was a little less, but still looked good. BTW, birds loved me for a few days. (Bugs because the bags have breather holes in them, my fault).
