Yes, more so in the direct sun in the south side of your home.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The wood chips are so large in general that a year later they have not broke down, I am in the process of removing and disposing of this product and replacing it with ground mulch from my local landscape center
Was this Answer Helpful ?My soil was rock hard and dry as can be , we laid mulch and a few months ago we took a chance and tested the soil, now it's easy to dig and we are able to plant flowers and shrugs and they are thriving.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes this product will breakdown over time and will have the same effect as wood chips and pine needles. This product, depending on the species of wood used from each region of the country, will generally breakdown in about 2 years. Mulch areas that are well established with many years of applications have better soil profiles and characteristics than newly mulched areas. The broken down mulch will help add organic matter to the soil and help with moisture retention. Thanks
