will this kill the flowers in the flowerbed or just the weeds


This product will not kill existing plants or weeds. It works by stopping the germination of seeds. That is why your garden needs to be weed free before using it.

I don't think it kills the weed, it just covers them and suppose to prevent sunlight from reaching them which promoted growth. Make sure you spread the mulch at least 3 inches thick to prevent weed growth.
