The minimum length is listed at 8". Is that with or without a glass shade attached? If just the wire length, why can't it be shorter, say like 6".


The 8” includes the height of the canopy, the height of the socket, the height of the fitter cup, and the height of the cord restraint that is sitting against the canopy. It has adjustable cords for the customer to choose the length.
