Will this light screw into a standard circular ceiling electrical box?


It is not a screw in base. It attaches to the support bar in a standard ceiling electrical box.

Yes. That's its purpose in life. I mounted mine into a very shallow 'pancake' junction box, maybe an inch deep. A normal-depth box would be easier.
