Can I attach another wire to split off from the original?

Yes- as long as the total voltage for the lights is under 88 watts. We added 4 more lights.

Hello and Thank you for your question. Usually, you would want to simply add length to the end of an existing cable. It is possible to add an additional cable that is a T off of an existing line. However you may experience Voltage Drop. When this happens you can actually see the voltage drop due to some of all of the lights appearing dimmer than before adding the "T". It is recommended to use 12 gauge wires for the entire system when you are adding cable lengths in this manner. Make sure that all splices have good connection. Splices will also promote voltage loss if the wire connections are loose or not done properly. For this type of "T" connection it is recommended to use wire nuts with silicone inside to protect the connection.
