Is the light mount in the top or the bottom of the fixture? Makes a difference as to how much area around the light is illuminated. Thanks

The light is in the top of the fixture. The connection is made at the bottom. These lights have very good coverage compared to others I've had. One light will easily provide coverage for 2 steps and the landing for each.
